Readers of this blog know I'm not a fan of Bush, especially when it comes to spending, civil rights and immigration issues. Nevertheless, I felt this article on
Sanity Check 101 was worth sharing. In short, it provides statistics from the "
Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development" (OECD) showing that under Bush the US economy has been doing significantly better than those of Japan and Europe. Unemployment is lower than it was under the Clinton administration, and oil prices are signficantly lower than the all time highs of the Carter administration.
The OECD is an international organization headquarted in Paris, France, so it is hard to dismiss these numbers as right wing propaganda. To give credit where it is due, it looks like the Bush economics policies seem to be working better than I had realized.
