An expression of personal freedom designed to educate people about the meaning and importance of freedom and personal responsibility. Topics will include current events, historical analysis, gun control and firearms rights, education, politics and more. I write in support of freedom lest darkness fall upon our society in the form of dwindling rights, apathy and oppression.
I am a neolibertarian minded individual who feels that freedom and individual rights take precedence over the wants of government. I believe government exists to serve the people and not to protect us from ourselves. I am an advocate for private firearms ownership, smaller government, reduced taxes and freedom to live your life however you choose, providing you do not directly hurt others.

Books I Am Reading
A Feast For Crows This latest installment of Gearge R. R. Martin's "A Song of Fire and Ice" series isn't quite as gripping as the previous books but is still a pretty good read.
Phantom Book 10 in the Sword of Truth series continues to keep the reader riveted while repeatedly emphasizing the duty and importance of self defense.
Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed A follow up to Guns, Germs, and Steel that explains the geographic, environmental and socio-economic reasons that can cause civilizations and communities to collapse.

WASHINGTON - Infants have been stopped from boarding planes at airports throughout the U.S. because their names are the same as or similar to those of possible terrorists on the government's "no-fly list."
...
...airlines still have the duty to check passengers' names against those supplied by the government. That job has become more difficult - since the 2001 attacks the lists have swelled from a dozen or so names to more than 100,000 names, according to people in the aviation industry who are familiar with the issue. They asked not to be identified by name because the exact number is restricted information.
...
The TSA has a "passenger ombudsman" who will investigate individual claims from passengers who say they are mistakenly on the lists. TSA spokeswoman Yolanda Clark said 89 children have submitted their names to the ombudsman. Of those, 14 are under the age of 2.
How stupid can people be? There is way too much political correctness taking place. People are so afraid to be accused of "racial profiling" and other biases that they spend their time challenging anyone and everyone, no matter how ridiculous. Here's an idea: if a child is too young to walk, speak or feed itself, chances are good it won't leap up in the middle of the flight and hijack the plane with an assault rattle. Unless babies are wearing exploding Huggies or screaming and crying loudly, leave them alone and focus security efforts elsewhere.
