Burglars Try to Rob Kickboxing Ninja
Mr McRae said he did some boxing training at Auckland Grammar School then studied the martial art form ninjitsu. He took up kickboxing three years ago.
"I'd just done it as a sport until (the break-in)," he said today.
"He got one punch on me and then I started giving it back to him and chucked him into a brick wall."As you all know by know, I delight in stories of victims turning the tables on their attackers. If people fought back more often, and if the media publicized these successful defenses as often as they tell us about successful crimes, the world would be a much safer place.
He knocked the man unconscious and dragged him back upstairs and put him in a headlock as he phoned police.
Mr McRae still has the hat of the second intruder and said he would hand it over to police - unless the man wanted to stop by and pick it up.One almost hopes that the escaped intruder is dumb enough to return for the hat.
