I am a neolibertarian minded individual who feels that freedom and individual rights take precedence over the wants of government. I believe government exists to serve the people and not to protect us from ourselves. I am an advocate for private firearms ownership, smaller government, reduced taxes and freedom to live your life however you choose, providing you do not directly hurt others.

A Feast For Crows
This latest installment of Gearge R. R. Martin's "A Song of Fire and Ice" series isn't quite as gripping as the previous books but is still a pretty good read.

Book 10 in the Sword of Truth series continues to keep the reader riveted while repeatedly emphasizing the duty and importance of self defense.

Minuteman Coming to San Diego?

It looks like the Minuteman Project is gaining momentum. I've heard reports that numerous other areas are trying to organize similar projects or get the Minutemen to come and patrol their areas.

Here's a quote from the story in the title link:

An organization formed last year that calls itself Friends of the Border Patrol hopes to gather enough volunteers to patrol from the ocean to the Imperial Valley.

"If we can pull it off to the Arizona border, that would be amazing," said chairman Andy Ramirez, the Chino-based former executive director of Save Our State, which tried last year to place an initiative on the ballot to bar undocumented immigrants from obtaining driver licenses. "It would be great if we can blanket the entire Southern California border."

This just goes to show that people are fed up with this issue and are planning to take action. In recent radio interviews on The John and Ken Show, Minutemen organizers have claimed credit for reducing illegal immigration by 91%. They also mentioned that future activities are planned, including a nation wide grass efforts campaign to protest businesses that employ illegal aliens and/or provide illegal alien "day laborer" lounges. Lets hope people keep these activities going until we achieve a national immigration and border security reform.
