LDF Joins Two Blogger Communities

Some of you may have noticed the recent addition "Memberships and Affiliations" to the sidebar on the right of the page. This is because Lest Darkness Fall has recently been accepted into two blogger communities. Blogger communities serve several purposes:

1. Increase visitor traffic by referring visitors to fellow member sites
2. Synergistic exploration of topics: One member's post on a topic can inspire others to tackle that same issue from slightly different points of view
3. Collaborative writing: Many blogger communities publish weekly articles on a particular topic or theme based on input from members of the community

Lest Darkness Fall is now a member of:

• The Life, Liberty and Property Community, an 80+ member group who believes in the inherent rights of life, liberty and property and for the most part who feel government has a duty to protect and promote individual rights
• The Alliance of Free Blogs, a 450+ member community seeking to challenge Instapundit's dominance of the blogoshpere

As a member of these communities, I will be participating in various group activities. In particular, I plan to submit articles to and promote the following weekly "carnivals" as time permits:

• The Carnival of Cordite, a round-up of blog posts dedicated to the Second Amendment, shooting sports and firearms related topics (typically published on Fridays)
• The Carnival of Liberty, a sampling of posts on the right to liberty, life and/or property (published on Tuesdays)
